Which is a little introduction of myself as well.
No, I am not a windmill, but a fully human being, at least I'd like to think so. It makes sense, considering windmills can certainly not write blogs, no matter how much they try. The problem is, beside the lack of hands and fingers, that they don't even get the idea to write a blog.
Which means that I have a little something in common with your regular windmill, as this blog wasn't my idea and would most likely not have occured to me, if it wasn't for my current psychology teacher, who had us create a blog for reasons I might or might not explain later. Most likely not, though.
Now, I'll only be at this school for about ten months, momentarily more looking like five though, since I'm not much of a traveller and have decided to go back to my own country if I don't feel at home here by the end of this semester.
Now, why windmills?
The truth is, it was a spontaneous idea, and I liked it well enough to keep it this way.
Now what made me think of windmills, when I should be thinking of highly psychological things instead?
Windmills aren't very psychological, so it doesn't make sense to pick them for a psychology assignment, right?
Well, in my mind, it does make sense.
Mainly because of one thing that is linked to windmills in my mind. A book, to be exact, a story about a man.
Have you guessed it? Most likely not, and I don't expect you to either.
I'm talking about a man named Don Quixote by his creator. Ring a bell? No?
It's a story, in two volumes, that was published in 1605 and 1615, in the golden age of Spain, and one of the most influental novels ever written.
But I won't bore you with those facts, unless you want me to.
The point is: At one point Don Quixote, who clearly lives in a dreamworld made up by himself, encounters windmills.
In his insanity, he attacks them, thinking they are giants. You see, he thinks he's a knight, and truly wants to do noble, great things.
How it ends? Well, that's not the point here, and I won't write it. Figure it out yourselves.
